SERMON OUTLINE (24/01/21)

Dead or Alive P2: Ephesians 2: 1-10

1. The Introduction: Do we believe as Christians that we have been brought from spiritually dead to spiritually alive to do good works?

1.1 Big Idea: To look at Ephesians ch2 vv1-10: to remind us or our old position – spiritually dead; and of our new position – spiritually alive: to examine ourselves to see what position we are in? (1-10)

2 Our first reminder to examine ourselves to see what position we are in is spiritually dead (1-3)

3 Our second reminder to examine ourselves to see what position we are in is spiritually alive (4-10)

4 Conclusion: the exhortation: These two positions from Ephesians ch2 vv1-10 that I have reminded us of to examine ourselves – spiritually dead and spiritually alive: if you are spiritually dead, will you repent: if you are spiritually alive, will you continue to produce good works? (1-10)

Reflection: Do you believe as a Christian that you have been brought from spiritually dead to spiritually alive in Christ? After examining yourself; and your position is spiritually dead; will you repent? After examining yourself; and your position is spiritually alive; will you continue to produce good works?
