Why love matters P2: 1 John 2 7-11
1. The Introduction: Why should love matter for the Christian?
1.1 Big Idea: These two things that we are going to look at in 1 John ch2 vv7-11 will help us to see why love is important to the Christian life – why love matters (7-11)
2. The first thing is: love was true in Jesus (7-8)
3. The second thing is: love shows that we are in the light (9-11)
4. Conclusion: the exhortation: These two things that we have looked at from 1 John ch2 vv7-11 to see why love matters – are we now challenged to see why love matters (7-11)
Reflection: Why should love matter for the Christian? Does love matter for you? Do you see that love was true in Jesus? Do you see love in your own life; which shows that you are in the light?
