On this episode of Not Rocket Science I break down the pains of New York in the dead middle of winter and wind up going on a nostalgic breakdown of how the perception of NYC can change from a Tri-State area local the second you are able to have a proper NYC bender for the first time. In addition, I dig into the business side of the upcoming (and now already-played by the time you're reading this) Superbowl LIII between the Patriots and Rams by diving into a recent survey on consumer purchasing behavior released by nicershoes.com. I give my take on the effectiveness (or lack there of) of Super Bowl ads, how to actually use of surveys as a relevant data allocation tool from a user research perspective, and how spending money on one major ad goes against how brands actually get consumers to buy in 2019. I also play the audio of my favorite Super Bowl ad of all-time which was made by Reebok a longggggg time ago.
