Description

On this episode, we talk about gut feelings and why they tend to work out over getting feedback from others. We use the example of hip-hop producer YoungKio promoting an obscure beat that he made on his beat store, despite tons of negative feedback from his peers because of a gut feeling he had about the Nine Inch Nails sample he discovered. Eventually, the track was sold and later turned into the biggest song in years in "Old Town Road" by Lil Nas X. We talk why subcultures create phenomena of collective groupthink that can effect people's confidence in their work and how gut feelings can be the way to cut through the noise and differentiate yourself in any sector whether it be music, fashion, business or technology. Yep yep, we getting philosophical AF this week, ya heard.
