More than 3,600 companies have filed for bankruptcy in the first half of 2020 and this number will most certainly increase. While bankruptcy is not a death sentence for a company, it is not a good sign. Stock prices fall, people lose jobs etc. Many companies will have to restructure to survive; it is a culling of the herd.
