DIMINISH SPACE
In the world of Self-Defense DIMINISHING SPACE, as in holds, connects your power to to an attacker’s. This extremely close relationship creates a multitude of powerful options from holds and joint locks, to neutralizations in deadly situations.
In Life Defense today our conversation is centered around the relationship of DIMINISHED SPACE and how getting really close, maintaining contact, and even tightening bonds or existing contacts brings body, mind and heart together to effect great transformation of lives.
Think about your relationships. Are they close or distant? And if they are close, are they truly close enough to affect a transformation to the next level of project, marriage, career or humanitarian effort?
As stated earlier in previous episodes, and in different ways, “we are connected.” In fact, we don’t have a choice, yet the quality of our connection makes all the difference.
In a typical self-defense session we walk around and adjust the grip of the hands, the twist of the wrists and the connection of the body. This is to ensure everything is close, or in other words, the space between attacker and defender is DIMINISHED enough to make the technique work, and transform danger and harm into safety that saves life.
In life are we taking the time, and getting the coaching necessary to insure we are connected well enough, close enough, and powerfully enough to actually affect transformation? Maybe not, and if so what will you do today to DIMINISH SPACE in your relationships?
If connection is the way of being then the better that connection is the more powerful our lives become. In Life Defense the whole goal is to save life. Understanding DIMINISHED SPACE in the context of connection saves life!
Remember it is together that we move the planet… DIMINISH SPACE!
