In honor of breast cancer month, I asked my friend Amanda Lips to talk about her journey through breast cancer and COVID. Amanda is a Leader of fun, the CEO of Pete's Plug , Co-founder of Petals & Pastry, and Partner at Forever Trends, LLC. She is an overall fierce woman who enters hard challenges with the intentionality of finding the F U N in that trial while also being her authentic self - not denying the difficulty of the matter. Cancer, COVID, and any other hardship do not define her - they leverage her dreams. Her heart, her passion, and her tenacity is invigorating! She was one of the first MDA cancer patient (who is in remission) who was diagnosed with COVID in Houston March 2020 and used her time in quarantine to explore her creativity! During that time, her friend, Anna, who was unemployed and her were talking while Anna was making cookies - and behold a business was born: Petals & Pastry!
