Cody's top priority had always been to build his own financial kingdom. He was striving for more and wanted to do what it took to accomplish this. Then, in 2016, through a sermon series at church, him and his wife were challenged to give and focus on tithing for 2017. This led Cody to really start thinking about his finances and this concept of generosity and giving, asking a lot of questions, and diving into God's word to learn more.
His brother, Kealan, also challenged and stretched him in a lot of ways when it came to contentment, having enough, and truly being a good steward with what he had. Cody would go on to become a financial advisor and help his clients wrestle with these same questions and topics. Cody and his brother have also started The Finish Line Pledge which helps people set their financial finish line. We spend a lot of time talking about this concept, their finish line calculator and just what it means to have enough.
In this episode, we take a look at Deuteronomy 8 and the story of the Israelites being given exactly what they would need each day and yet how hard it was to stay obedient to that promise.
Listen to the end as Cody shares a story about his nonprofit, Compound Impact, and how they are using real estate to impact refugees and why they decided to make it a non-profit.
