Description

In this episode, Terri and I dive into what the mission of her organization is, how to use hospitality on mission, and a little bit about sexual exploitation, especially that of children. This topic is heavy, but it is real and she gives us a little insight into how these children are exploited and groomed. So, whether you want to jot down some notes on protecting children or you want to know how you can use the gifts you already have to advocate, this episode is going to encourage you that the Lord has already placed in you what you need to do this work.
Terri answers questions like...
What is the "recipe" for having healthy, effective conversations that could actually lead to change?
Why does a topic like sex trafficking and hospitality work so well together?
How do we protect ourselves from compassion fatigue or even burnout?

Terri Ingraham is the founder and visionary for beLydia, an anti-trafficking non-profit based in Austin, Texas. beLydia uses hospitality to work to prevent child sex trafficking. She is a wife, mother of two, stepmother of three, grandmother ("Tutu") of four, and dog mom to three crazy dogs. She enjoys spending time with her family and friends in the kitchen and hanging out at the lake.
