Description

On The Town with Tanya chats with You-tuber/Author, Unbreakable Me, Elizabeth Graybill, and LCSW-R, CASAC Trauma Therapist, Survivors of Sexual Abuse, Drug Treatment program, In Patient Psych, SW Supervisor, Betty Dudas about victims of sexual abuse.

90% of rape victims know their abuser.

What can victims do when family and friends of abuser re-traumatize them with guilt?

Only 25 of 1,000 abusers will go to jail.

Telling is important to free yourself, out the abuser and save others.

Rape is usually by someone we know or family knows. It is common for them to defend the abuser and oust the victim or shame them.

You owe NO one "Proof", they know what they did.

"Be comfortable with being uncomfortable" (Elizabeth Graybill), especially when you first share.

Every 68 seconds an American is sexually assaulted and every 9 minutes that victim is a child according to RAINN 1-800-656-HOPE

To all victims, know you are not alone, you made it this far, get therapy or help to process so that you can move forward and find closure, peace and reach your true calling.
