The guest on this episode of BTL is one that I always seek out when I find out she is at a conference, and to think that she has exploded with tremendous growth just in the last few years. And to think, she mentioned that she thought she was late in the game of leadership. So for all of the listeners out there, have you ever thought to yourself that it’s too late in your career to do something different and new? Maybe saying to yourself that, “you're not that young anymore” or “ I’ll be dead by the time I could ever do that!” What about in your daily schedule, telling yourself “it's too late in the day to make a good dinner” or “it's too late in the day to get that workout in.”
Well I’ll be blunt about it. It is never too late. Whether you have these types of conversations with yourself or with others, YOU have to know that it is never too late! Behind the scenes of this self talk is a theme around communication.
Learning about and mastering the skill of effective communication is your key. Communicating with yourself, your family, your partner, your peers, your bosses and managers, or your employees is THE special power that we all possess and have the ability to optimize.
