Description

On this episode, we talk to Bettina Benson, the creative director and founder of Chloe Kristyn. She has always been a firm believer in the power of personal branding especially through clothes. Her love for fashion came from her grandma, and after a consistent stream of layoffs, Bettina knew she needed to take the jump to start her own business. Here are some tips based on what she learned along the way:

·  There is nothing wrong with learning as you go

·  Trial and error are important

·  Research should not take the place of action

·  Have intention with what you’re doing and why you’re doing it

While starting your own business can be scary, sometimes you just have to make the jump. While Bettina had her own online boutique in college, her online business was still a whole new world to her. Bettina shares that tinkering and learning as you go is important because just when you think you have things figured out, you will have to make changes and pivot. As women, we have a hard time asking for our worth. Bettina emphasizes the important of finding supporters who validate your work and worth.

Stay tuned until the end to hear how the pandemic has impacted Chloe Kristyn.
