Who can tell me how fast the trees grow,
Some days I am bamboo,
other days fig.
doing my best,
not to be a walnut.
I want to grow fast, and I am.
Leaves forming in all directions.
A masterpiece, truly.
Stark and obvious,
I am a tree.
Learning the nuances of root systems
I root, grounded.
the growing you cannot see.
not even me.
I wish they could see what's below.
In time, it's always above.
They do not know,
so what is there to show.
I do not know the suns plan for,
the wind is a quiet talker,
and rain, they don't visit often.
So to be this tree,
we will see,
what it is to be me.
