Air India has cutoff monthly salaries of its employees who have a monthly gross salary of more than Rs 25,000. By up to 50 per cent, according to an inside order of the corporation.
The order, proposed July 22, said basic salary and allowances correlated to it. Like industrial dearness allowance (IDA) and house rent allowance (HRA) will remain untouched. However, for “general category officers”, all other allowances except the previous ones. That would be reduced by 50 per cent, said Air India.
