With the steady rise in the novel coronavirus cases, India has risen to 11th spot among countries with the highest number of confirmed infection cases. Going by the confirmed cases, India has surpassed China's coronavirus tally of 84,038, according to Johns Hopkins University.
According to the Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare Saturday morning update, coronavirus cases in India has surged to 85,940.
Out of a total of 85,940 cases, 53,035 are active coronavirus cases, while 30152 individuals have been discharged. So far, 2,752 people have also died due to the infection.
