C.O.D.E. Men go on mission for God! In fact, we should be learning how to live mission minded every single day. Sometimes, we actually take a team and go on a mission for the kingdom of God, and we just returned from what has been agreed by the team, to be the best mission trip we have done together. We are by no means experts, but we thought it would be helpful to have a conversation about what made this work so well. And to top it all off, we are making C.O.D.E. history by welcoming two of our C.O.D.E. wives into the studio, Charity Cantrell and Kelli Barnette, along with Nathaniel "Quiet Man" Barnette (Overtrek's son and daughter-in-law).
Hoping our experience could be a great resource for others who would like to take a team and follow Jesus into a mission, we explore together, "What made this work?"
1. How was God’s grace the key to success? How did you experience grace in this mission?
2. What did you do to help prepare individually and as a couple? And what kept you mission minded on the trip?
3. Successful mission minded going and serving is the result of daily mission minded living. What does that look like?
