On this week's episode, we're talking all about Seasonal Depression... from its symptoms, to its causes, to solutions for pushing through. Seasonal Depression affects over 10 million Americans each year, yet it's not something that's commonly talked about. If you yourself know you struggle in this area, think you may struggle in this area, or know someone who does, I highly encourage you to give this episode a listen. I share with you all my own personal struggles with seasonal depression and things that I do to tackle my symptoms head on. There is hope, there is help, and there is a solution!
I also want to make it very clear that 1.) I am not a doctor/medical professional and 2.) I have not been officially diagnosed by a doctor with Seasonal Affective Disorder or Depression, however, I do experience some of the seasonal depression symptoms. With that being said, the facts quoted in today's episode ARE straight from mayoclinic.org and the tips I am giving to help tackle Seasonal Depression are those that I have tried and have worked in my own personal experience (and hopefully can help you too!) but align with what medical professionals suggest.
