International Day of Zero Tolerance for Female Genital Mutilation (FGM) is observed annually on February 6 to raise awareness about the harmful practice and to promote its elimination. The day aims to empower girls and women and protect their rights and engage communities, governments, and other stakeholders in the fight to end FGM.
