Sonia Linares, a Composer/Singer and Song-Writer based in Tarragona, Spain. I have been writing and composing Music for over 20 years, with independent Live Music projects: Et-Co (Contemporary World Fusion), Jazzul (Author, Nu Jazz) and with Liverpool Spanish Fusion Band, BARRIOVIEJO - Manchester International Festival, Southport Jazz Festival, BBC Radio Manchester. (U.K).
Curiously artistic, I love mixing genres in my vocal delivery and in the creation of the Music.
As an artist, I welcome the opportunity to work with other creative minded artists, developing new music, including production music, theme tracks for films and Contemporary Video-Art etc.
My latest musical adventure is "Spirit Fruit", my debut EP as a solo artist. This work is a opportunity to convey my emotional inner worlds tainted in sensitive lyrics with a turn of Indie Folk. My idea has always been that of submerging listeners into worlds of emotion and reflective wonder. The album is written in a rich, poetic ground, where story-telling grows almost innerly, blossoming in a metaphoric music space, filled with turning contrasts.
To me, conceiving it, felt like being in little scenes, moving emotion into personal spaces where imagination could become that metaphoric safe space, like a film we could live in, while the Music is playing.
The album was produced by David Chueca at Marlee Records and released independently in October 2020.
As an Artist I am always willing to create and learn more about making great Music that mirrors emotional worlds and imaginative lands with its languages.
