This episode is the first in a series about CRISPR. CRISPR is a gene editing method that mimics a process done by bacteria to essentially alter genes. Each episode in this series will go over different ways that CRISPR can be utilized; some may surprise you. This episode specifically goes over a paper that utilizes CRISPR in trial methods for treating cystic fibrosis, non-Hodgkin's lymphoma, and other diseases.
As EPISTEM we value the input of the listeners so in this episode our Nerd Notes section is a bit more laid back. We will continue to update the show based on user feedback.
