In this episode, I am joined by guest Gerrard Boyd. Gerrard
is a visionary consultant, theologian, dedicated family man, and a published author of the book, Silence No More: A Black Man’s Quest for Intimacy (2003). Gerrard lives by the principles of living authentically, laughing daily and loving self-first.
We dive into the real phenomenon of infidelity and how it relates to midlife crisis in men.
We also explore how men often base their self-worth on external factors, which can lead to frustration when they perceive a loss of identity and validation. It's important to understand that the desire for validation and self-redefinition goes beyond just the sexual aspect and is driven by a deeper need for self-discovery and identity. Cheating is often a manifestation of the desire for self-affirmation and self-worth outside of an existing relationship.
