We sat down with Dr. Anthony "Tony" Andrews an African American Licensed Psychotherapist and Professor with a specialty in trama and substance abuse. Dr. Andrews is the owner of Andrews Counseling & Consulting PLLC and provides services to a variety of clientele including young adults, individuals and couples. In this episode we discussed multiple topics including: dealing with trauma, the stigma in the African American community associated with seeking mental health services, dealing with micro-aggressions and unconscious biases, holding uncomfortable conversations with non black individuals, and much more.
