Hello and welcome to the first ever episode of caskheads season 3. (I know, I'm impressed as well), anyway, in this episode we talk about Arran single malt whisky form the Lochranza distillery on the northern end of the Isle of Arran. We discuss their new range after the 25th anniversary shake up, we talk about their sister distillery on the southern end of the Island (Lagg), and we even try some Arran whisky. Well I do at least.
The whisky we try is one of Lochranza distillery's cask strength releases, Arran 1/4 cask, which is initially matured in first fill American oak casks before spending a further maturation in 125ltr Quater casks.
I would also like to thank the fine folks at Lochranza distillery for making this great whisky.
For those who enjoy our caffeine addled minds' creations I should also mention we have a second podcast which is fictional (or is it?) named GNSradio where an infinitely shadowy mega corporation with seemingly limitless amounts of money close to hand moves into a small town and slowly takes over. If you think it sounds fun or just want to shut me up check it out check out GNSradio now wherever you get your podcasts from or check out the teasers on here.
