Does the "IRS" ever call to let you know you are in big trouble? Surprisingly, they typically have a very heavy accent and don't really sound like they are from this country. What is more surprising is they will allow you to pay your penalty with gift cards that they ask you to pick up at your local store. When I have a lot of time on my hands I like to start confessing all sorts of strange crimes I have committed. My scenarios will get more and more wild until they finally hang up on me, but at least I wasted their time so they couldn't be taking advantage of person who didn't realize it was a scam. We live in a world where people try to take advantage of you. They want to take from you, but that isn't what our God wants for us. He wants to give to us. That was what he created the Church for. The Church was created to be a loving family, and not an entity that was to steal from you. This week we discuss our God's purpose of the Church.
