I have had some interesting jobs in my life. The first job I ever applied for I really wanted, it was working with the Gallup Polls. It was $8/hour ($3 over minimum wage at the time!) flexible hours, and all you had to do was call people up and give them a survey. I guess I blew the interview because they didn't want me! I was really disappointed I didn't get the job. It's very frustrating when doors of opportunity close on us. The good news is the very next week I was approached with the offer to be a Psychologist's Assistant in a clinic near Downtown Houston. It was a pretty neat experience where I got to interview many interesting and some crazy ;-) folks. I doubt many High School Seniors got that opportunity, so I loved that this door opened where the other closed. So who is opening and closing these doors in our lives? Does our God really always open one door when he closes the other? This is what we discuss this week as we look into our response when doors in our life close.
