Are you having a bad day? A few years ago when I lived in Dallas I would take the Dart Light Rail to work downtown. I left my wallet with my dart pass at home one morning and didn't realize it until the Dart Cop started asking us for tickets. I was kicked off the train and written a ticket, for no Dart Pass, the crazy thing is not only did I have a Dart Pass at home, at my work it was my job to give out Dart Passes out to everyone in the company! After waiting for the Dart Cop to leave the station I then had to sneak back onto the next train and avoid the ticket checking police until I got to downtown. With my wallet at home I spent my lunch break hungry, and too proud to borrow a few bucks from my co-workers. I was hangry when it was finally time to go back home, but I realized I was going to have to sneak back on the train. Multiple times I would see the ticket taking police get on the train, so I would get off it right before they could ticket me. Unfortunately, I wasn't sneaky enough so I was given a ticket again...even though I actually had a Dart Pass...just not with me. It took a long time, but eventually I made it home, and quickly had dinner! This was a bad day, but I am sure you have experienced worse than this. When we are going through tough times, Jesus wants us to know he is here to comfort us. This week we discuss how Jesus doesn't want our hearts to be troubled when we go through rough patches in life.
