I feel like I am a decent co-worker. I can get along with most people. But at one of my past jobs, during the Christmas Holidays, I wasn't a very good one. At this company I worked in a department where everyone was so good at giving gifts. I on the other hand wasn't good at it in the least. It was probably a combination of me not thinking about giving gifts to those outside my family, and just being cheap. But the holidays would be awkward for me even if I was a good gift giver, because it was equally uncomfortable for me to receive gifts from someone outside of my family. Whenever I receive a gift from someone, it leaves me with the feeling that I know owe that person something, instead of just being grateful for what was given to me. This week we discussed Giving and Receiving. Both giving and receiving are incredibly important if we want to live the life Christ calls us to live.
