One of the things I like most about my bedroom is there is no window. I am not sure how the builders got that past code, since I think bedrooms should have to have a window in case of a fire, but maybe they found a loop hole because an office with a window is connected on one side and a bathroom with a window is connected to the room on the other side. I love no window, because it means it can get really dark at any time of day in my room. A dark room makes for good naps, but darkness can also create hazards. (My wife has a lot of shoes!) When I get up in the middle of the night, the light from my phone helps guide my steps, so I don't trip and fall. We live in a dark world! We have a lot of struggles and hazards. Thankfully, Jesus is the light that will guide our steps!
