Description

Ben Howes is a keen gardener, environmental scientist and conservationist from Wurundjeri country in Wattle Glen, Victoria. He has a background in children's and youth ministry and is currently serving as Generations Pastor at the Vine Baptist Church, Hurstbridge Campus. After working as an Outdoor Education teacher in Anglesea on the Great Ocean Road, he discovered a passion for connecting young people with the environment. After 6 years in education, environmental field research across the Asia Pacific, and impact research working alongside Australian Indigenous communities, he is currently working as the Roots and Shoots Australia Volunteers & Program Manager at the Jane Goodall Institute Australia.

In this episode, Mitch and Ben talk about how caring for the planet also means caring for our neighbour, how climate change is affecting already vulnerable communities, and what a climate justice vision of the world looks like.
