Christmas is not just a holiday we look forward to for its warmth, beautiful lights, traditions, presents, and festivities. No, true Christmas according to the Bible was all about God's people looking forward to her promised Messiah King. And appear he did. We rejoice at Jesus Christ's first Advent! What's more, true Christmas today reminds us to look forward to our King's second Advent. In the meantime, our weary souls sojourning through this weary world can truly rejoice at God's unfolding grace in history and our present day lives. God is real. God is with us in Christ Jesus.
