Psychological preparation


You may attend antenatal course organised by the hospital.  It facilitates you to prepare for the delivery and the care of baby.


Some mothers like to visit the hospital physically so that it helps to familiarise themselves with the hospital environment. They visit the birthing room, delivery room or labour ward as it helps them to prepare for the process of delivery mentally.


Mental Imagery


Mental imagery will help you to relax and calm down during contraction.  Closing your eyes and imagining the baby can help you feel peaceful during the labour. You can imagine that the baby is smiling and will come out to meet up with you soon.

You may use suggestions to prepare yourself and the baby for the process of delivery.
