Today topic is Foetus Physical Development. The following information is mostly based on Felicia Eisenberg Molnar, Kiss Guide to Pregnancy and other reading for the developmental stages of foetus.  

𝗙𝗶𝗿𝘀𝘁 𝘁𝗿𝗶𝗺𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗿 (𝟭-𝟭𝟮 𝘄𝗲𝗲𝗸𝘀)  His heart begins to beat at 25 days.  His neural tube which becomes the brain and spinal cord starts to form.  

𝗦𝗲𝗰𝗼𝗻𝗱 𝗧𝗿𝗶𝗺𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗿 (𝟭𝟯 𝘄𝗲𝗲𝗸𝘀 𝘁𝗼 𝟮𝟳 𝘄𝗲𝗲𝗸𝘀)  By 5 months, the baby becomes more active and moving and turning and sometimes kicking inside the womb.  The fingernails have developed to the tips of the fingers. He sleeps and wakes up at a regular interval.  He has started to breathe and will suck his thumb.      

𝗧𝗵𝗶𝗿𝗱 𝗧𝗿𝗶𝗺𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗿 (𝟮𝟴-𝟰𝟮 𝘄𝗲𝗲𝗸𝘀)  At 36 weeks, the baby weighs 2.7kg and is 52 cm long.  All his senses will be well-formed in a month's time.  All his body parts are responsive to temperature change and pressure. At 37 weeks, your baby is fully developed and could be born at any time.
