RFP Podcast Episode #27 – A book review. “Tribe of Mentors” – by Timothy Ferriss
Cracked this book last week and only 14% into it (according to my Kindle) and it has been mind opening. I go into some outline on the basis of the book but today’s section I read, one that covered questions answered by Mike Maples, really struck my heart and soul. Timothy asked Mike, “What advice would you give to a smart, driven collect student about to enter the ‘real world.”? Here is Mike’s answer. “Life will go faster than you know. It will be tempting to live a life that impresses others. But this is the wrong path. The right path is to know that life is short, every day is a gift, and you have certain gifts. Happiness is about understanding that the gift of life should be honored every day by offering your gifts to the world. Don’t let yourself define what matters by the dogma of other people’s thoughts.
