The excerpt below is from Tim Ferriss’ book, “Tribe of Mentors.” It was from his interview with Sam Harris. If you don’t know either of these guys, Google them, they are worth knowing 😊. I am sharing this because I experience this very often. Perfect example, last week I spoke with a dear loved one that was struggling, in a valley, and questioning where it was all leading. My hope, I believe since I’ve gotten feedback, is that my messages were helpful in helping climb out of that low point. For me, that was fulfilling and gave me great love to be able to provide service to others. However, two weeks ago, I was in the exact same spot and, although I knew what to do and what to say to myself, it was much more difficult to “hear” my message. Today’s episode goes into this story and the continuing journey.
“On one level, wisdom is nothing more than the ability to take your own advice. It’s actually very easy to give good advice. It’s actually very hard to follow the advice you know is good……. If someone came to me with my list of problems, I would be able to sort that person out very easily.”
