March 20, 2020 FOR PARENTS: This 'GROUNDO' story has been told (and requested by the children) many times over the years. As you listen, pay attention to the sounds made for things like, walking down the hallway, opening the door, going into the bedroom and opening the drawer. Children love to repeat the sounds, and it's a great way for them to be involved in the story as opposed to simply listening. From my experience and observation when telling 'Groundo' and other Nature Nurture stories, children are so happy and become riveted when they are a part of the story, laughing, rolling over and always asking for more! SMILES and LAUGHTER ALL AROUND :-) You will note this 'GROUNDO' story did not have any of his friends. There are two types of 'GROUNDO' stories. The first type is with his friends, Stinky, Pinky, Winky, Blinky (and as we say) 'of course', Chicken! The second type (like this one) is simply 'GROUNDO' being silly and making silly observations, decisions and requests.
