First written history starts from iron age ..France was made of bulk of regions known as Gauls, the Aquitine and the Belgae ..But Gauls were lagerest group ..Celts were collection Indio European people in Europe &Anatolia ..in the modern Turkey...which is in the Weatern provision of Asian continent .Germanic Frank United most of the Gauls in the 5 th century and ruled for hundreds of years...there were conflicts between two different groups in France ...France nobles allied with England and the war was on for hundred years...during that time a young French Joan led French forces against English ..But she was captured by French nobles who allied with British ..trail by Pope Perrie Crichton ..she was declared guilty and was burned at stake ...this incident was around 1300..later, around 16th century her case was reopened by French and she as declared innocent and was declared martyr ..1803 she was declared as national symbol ...she is one of nine secondary patron of saints of France ...in my narration I told 1300 but it is 1800 ...very sorry ...when Napoleon took.over, she was declared as a national symbol.
