We've got a little fitness only episode today, and we're talking "poverty macros". I've seen many, many people who want to get in shape come right out of the chutes slashing their calories (and macros) down to "poverty" levels. If someone is just starting out, and doesn't know better, then this is understandable, as they might feel this is the only way forward.
But, having spent so many years in the bodybuilding world, I've always seen a number of people who DO know better do the same thing - take their macros down to super low levels right from the start. In a way, I think they're doing this as very much a "badge of honor". I say all of this having done this very thing myself, for more years than I care to admit.
