Hebrews 9.24, Luke 7.11-23
I love Ascension Day because this is the day we celebrate Jesus taking his earthly body into heaven. We are so used to spiritualising everything as though we were physically worthless, but this festival celebrates Jesus validating our physical bodies and taking one right up into heaven itself.
