Many of us hoped that flipping the calendar from one year to another would launch refreshing new beginnings in our lives, our country, and in the world. We can see through the events of this week that the challenge toward a better tomorrow is not complete. What is breaking through what's breaking down? What might be seeking to emerge? Some believe it's a whole new way of living. If so, how can each of us honor our human reactions and still be a powerful presence for peace?
