Join me today while I share and try to properly honour my late brother Gordie on the 15th year anniversary of his death. Gordie died on July 9th 2005 at 18 years old in a car accident. We will explore parts of his life, death and the impact its made. Gordie was a dreamer, jammer, helper and old soul. He was passionate, wise and always up for a good time. He had a good listening ear and genuinely enjoyed helping people and being there for them. The grief and trauma of his death and the accident that day has had lasting affects on my life. Thankfully Gordie was a writer and left books of wisdom and inspiration reminding me that everything happens for a reason and meaning can always be found no matter what! He helped me to never give up and to keep fighting forward. I share why I skydived for the first 10 years on each anniversary date and how jumping from airplanes helps me face fear and take the necessary leaps of faith in front of me. When someone you love becomes a memory that memory becomes a treasure and he sure is that to so many of us! I share many quotes throughout but end with one of his favourites from Hunter S Thompson, "When the going gets weird the weird turn pro." (If the good die young as they say, then maybe he has turned pro up there by now! 😉) It is an absolute honour to be able to share Gordie with you today and I thank every ear and heart that listens to this! Until then my dear brother! Thank you for being you.🙏🏼 This Ones for You! 😘
