Abide with me: fast falls the eventide;

the darkness deepens; Lord, with me abide.

When other helpers fail and comforts flee,

Help of the helpless, O abide with me.

You may recognise this as the first verse of Henry Francis Lyte's famous hymn, often sung before the FA Cup Final. What, what does it mean to abide? How might we abide with God? We'll find out from John 15:9-11.
