We were half a world away
My thoughts were downcast
Missin you every day
But as my adventure in India came to a close
I offered an idea
Hoping you wouldn't oppose
That we would meet two months from then -
A long time, yes, to be without best friend,
Your lover and antidote to melancholy
But we would meet on the island of Bali
We would have our own adventure
A celebration of our love
A month-long story to indulge in pleasure
And life-long memories to speak of
With enthusiasm electric enough
To short circuit a small city
You said the next two months would be rough
But well worth it, to reunite with me
