I hate this part, but there’s no way around it. If you don’t give yourself permission to properly grieve what you’ve lost, what you hoped for, and the fantasies you had about it that were never going to be, your grief will show up in your attitudes, emotions, and your physical health.
The key is to grieve for a time and then to move on so that you don’t get stuck forever in grief. If you get stuck, you lose the good future that is your destiny.
