In this episode, Denay is chatting with local mom, LaDereka Carter. LaDereka is a doula, midwifery student, advocate, and entrepreneur. She owns Carter Comprehensive Birthing Services, which provides full-service Doula Care and personalized support for mothers in West Texas and New Mexico. LaDereka is passionate about educating women and providing low-income Black women and teens with pregnancy and postpartum care. She created Born and Bread Lubbock, a charcuterie business that helps fund her mission of giving back to women in our community.
