We can overcome temptations like Jesus did in Matthew 4, Joseph did in Genesis 39, and Job did in Job 2. We all know that Samson was tempted by Delilah and he mistakenly yielded by laying his head on her lap resulting in his eyes being taken out- see judges 16:19-21. But we see that Jacob rested his head on a rock and had an encounter with God through visions/dreams- see Genesis 28:11-18. It’s important where you rest your head, it can result in you loosing your sight in the case of Samson or gaining more sight in the case of Jacob! Resting your head on the Solid Rock which is God is always the best thing to choose; yielding to temptations of the enemy can be costly as we see with the case of Samson, Adam & Eve, Lot’s wife.
