“Do not neglect to show hospitality to strangers, for thereby some have entertained angels unawares.” – Hebrews 13:2

Amy Long is a wife, mom, and Naval Officer. After many moves, thanks to the military, it became clear that the need for a community and support system is a non-negotiable.

Party planning and hosting has always been one of her greatest passions, and in 2014 The Daily Hostess blog was created to capture all of the parties and holidays she and her family celebrated with the friends that became their family. In hosting those celebrations, she discovered it’s the best way to build community.

Today, we discuss how building community is so important for our wellbeing, the difference between hospitality and entertaining, and how to build intentionality into the most important relationships you have: your spouse and children.
