:90 Do You Have A Dream For Restoration Of Our People?

In light of the celebration of Martin Luther King Jr’s  National Holiday, I want to start by officially welcoming you to the launch of 5 Minutes With Mike. This is the 6th episode of our weekly podcast show and what better way to kick things off than to remember the civil rights Dr. King fought for, for all Americans. So--the question remains… Do you have a dream for the restoration of our people. A dream to restore thousands of black and brown people from the punitive Criminal Injustice System. Do You have a dream to make sure our fourteen year old boys aren’t fatally shot in the back with toy guns. Do you have a dream that pesky white men and women don’t call the cops on our young black men and women for doing seamlessly harmless things. Do you have a dream that citizens far and wide will get a fair shot in making America great. Martin Luther King Jr  stood on the highest platforms of identity politics than any other American preacher alive or dead as it relates to the matters of civil rights. Civil rights is not just about a class we take in social studies, get a passing grade and move on. Now… Civil rights is about our inalienable rights as a people and a nation state. Time and tim again we have seen oppression from all levels of government and it is sickening. There are God given rights that no government domestic or foreign can take away from any one of us. As we observe the legacy of Dr. King, let us understand that peace has not come without sacrifice. Just as he sacrificed his life to be a martyr for the many.

:35  Donald Trump  Said What?

To all of the great people who are working so hard for your Country and not getting paid I say, THANK YOU - YOU ARE GREAT PATRIOTS! We must now work together, after decades of abuse, to finally fix the Humanitarian, Criminal & Drug Crisis at our Border. WE WILL WIN BIG!- As Taken from Twitter January 20, 2019

Not Sure if Donald J. Trump is more concerned about winning that individuals getting their paycheck. Based on his track record, I’ll have to say his concern more than likely lies in winning while all others suffer.

:30 Take Em To Church: Dr. King had a vision that the whole world had an opportunity to realize that indeed all men and women are created equal. But as I look at  country that gives police a slap on the wrist for killing our own. A president that has a hard time condemning white supremacy and the anxieties that still stand true today of living while black in America. It all makes
