The U.S government shutdown has had a disastrous effect on Federal government employees. As of this podcast , the shutdown has entered record breaking territory with 32 days, 12 hours and 48 minutes. Yes, if you haven’t already heard by now, over 800,000 government employees are being hurt by this political stunt by Donald Trump. Now it’s considered a partial shut down because the military and essential government staff are still receiving paychecks. But for the average everyday American that is living paycheck to paycheck to feed their families, this shutdown has been a terrible disaster for their economic stability. And although many workers have been furloughed by the government, (told to stay home). Thousands of other verday working class citizens like the U.S.. Coast Guard, Border Patrol, TSA Agents, Irs Employees and even the FBI are being forced to work for free.

Someone has to come to the tabe of compromise and divorce the ideologies that are not making America great. Both the Donald Trump led republicans and Nancy Pelosi’s leadership over the democrats in the house of representatives must see this fight to a finish today. Right now our congress and executive branch of government is playing a cold war with the lives of millions of Americans. Soon essential everyday programs like food stamps and urban housing will run out of funding unless both sides are willing to agree to write the check. U.S. democracy and diplomacy as we knew it died with the election of Donald J. Trump. But as bad as Trump has been, he isn’t the true outlier of what we see today. It all began with Reaganomics and the new deal. Republicans and democrats alike have been raising our nation's national debt to unsustainable levels. Bi-partisanship has gone out the window and it’s an every man take all situation in politics. Please Mr. President and Nancy Pelosi. Don’t play politics with the American people. Because there are real people out their that’s trying to build their homes, build their family, their savings. Not build a wall!!!
