It boils my heart to hear about what happened to successful Fox Network ‘Empire’ actor and soulful musician Jussie Smollett being a victim of hate early Tuesday morning. According to widespread news reports, Jussie Smollett was walking to a nearby subway in Chicago at 2 AM to get some food. This was the moment he was brutally attacked by allegedly two white males who he yelled racial and homoselxual epithats at Jussie while they beat him up and tied a noose around his neck. According to reports they also poured some strange chemical substance on him he was beaten up, reports have also surfaced according to TMZ.com that the two white men in ski mask yelled, “This is MAGA country.” Referring to Donald Trump’s Make America Great Again campaign slogan.

There are three known stikes that are against actor Jussie Smollett every time he walks outside his home.
Strike one: Smollett is a black male. The very essence of his skin color has been viewed as in unofficial crime in America. Strike Two: Smollett is a gay male. The stigma of being a gay male whether it be bisexual, transexual, pansexual etc. It does not matter. The stigma of being a black gay male in America sparks the unthinkable. Many churches still haven’t come to grips with this, while their choir directors and others in high places in the church are practicing this lifestyle. Outside of the church you have supposed ‘heterosexual males’ that aren’t quite comfortable with their own sexual identity who lash out at the gay male for their own feelings of inadequacies. There is a smorgasbord list of males, including black males that identify as straight, yet they also entertain homosexual relationships. But because they don’t want the stigma of identifying with the judgment of being gay, they lash out and sometimes are verbally and physically abusive to those that do openly identify as gay. This happens even more radically when a ‘straight’ male none in the DL culture as trade is hit on by another male, when the “straight male” has his female around. Strike Three: He’s famous. Smollett is one of a few famous black male faces that are out of the closet. Sure there are many famous faces that practice in the area of homosexuality, from actors, sports players, news anchors, comedians and other personalities, but because of the Hate We Give, many of these famous people will never come out.
