:60 Code Blue

All of us know that there is a general code of silence within the ranks of police officers Nationwide. Good cops do good and bad cops go unpunished. I wonder what would this world be like without cell-phones catching these dirty cops in the act. Wait a minute I know, more of ghe same. Because camera phones or not the laws are written alot different for the men in blue. Especially in terms of the way they handle men of color in our communities.

:90 Silence is Deadly

This past week a Texas cop pulled a gun out and had it to the chest of a young black teen. All because he said the ‘F’ word which wasn’t directed at the cop. The teen was handcuffed and had no where to go. Yet he was subjected to this terrifying ordeal. This specific officer could have been having a bad day or a history of interactions like this. I dont know his record. But other officers that may ride-along with him daily or interact knows his character and how he behaves with the community he interacts with. Thank God he didn’t accidentally shoot someone’s soon. But must we the citizens live under fear and must we say, “thank God he wasn’t shot as the standard beare for good policing. The code of silence must be broken. And fellow officers must speak up when their is a renegade cop in their ranks. One bad cop makes the whole department look bad. We all need some form of policing. Just not the type that profiles, shoots first ask questions later etc.

:30 Take Em To Church

We all bare apart of what we would like our community to look like and be. We cant glorify the drug dealers and the prostitutes. Crime must be uprooted and its going to take all of us to do our part in community policing.
